PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS & BAND CONCERTS

A key ingredient to the music learning experience at Music Lessons Milwaukee involves the student joining, rehearsing and performing with a live band. Rock bands, Jazz bands, Blues bands and other popular music bands are formed according to the student’s musical interest. The student will rehearse regularly with their band and prepare for live performances throughout the year under the direction of a professional musician.

Often, band practices are recorded as members are given the opportunity to improvise and create new music or new arrangements of existing songs. Recordings are quickly made into CDs or MP3s for the students to take home for study.

Special workshops are held periodically where students gather to observe professional musicians performing and offering advice and suggestions to the class in a Master Class type format. Students’ learning curve is accelerated significantly in the Master Classes where professional freely share the wealth of their experiences through demonstration and instruction.
